All Ages
Musical Monet’s
Our Musical Monet’s program is designed to spark creativity, self-expression, and joy in young children while supporting their overall development. At this age, it’s not about creating perfect drawings or playing an instrument perfectly — it’s about exploration, imagination, and building a foundation for lifelong learning.
Our dedicated enrichment teacher specially designs an artistic curriculum introducing them in small groups to famous artists and musicians. The program meets twice a week throughout the school year with classes focused specifically on musical enrichment and artistic instruction. Classes meet throughout the week between Monday and Thursday and are included in our tuition.
What it Looks like Day to Day
In the classroom, art and music come alive through hands-on exploration. Children sing, dance, paint, and create in ways that feel playful, meaningful, and connected to what they’re learning. Additional enrichment programs are offered during the school year in three separate eight-week sessions. Classes are held from 3:00pm to 4:00pm during an after-school session. Each eight-week session is focused on a specific enrichment program to provide your child a fun and educational experience through hands-on activities.
- Music: Singing, rhythm games, movement to music, experimenting with percussion instruments, and listening to different genres.
- Art: Painting, drawing, collage, clay, and open-ended crafts that encourage self-expression rather than “right or wrong” outcomes.
- Integration: Sometimes art and music are woven into stories, science themes, or cultural celebrations, making learning feel natural and connected.
Why It Matters:
- Brain Development: Music and art stimulate both sides of the brain, strengthening memory, language, problem-solving, and critical thinking skills.
- Emotional Growth: Children learn to express feelings in healthy ways through painting, movement, and song.
- Motor Skills: Using paintbrushes, instruments, and dance movements strengthens fine and gross motor coordination.
- Social Skills: Working together on art projects or group music builds teamwork, patience, and confidence.
- Cultural Awareness: Exposure to different styles of music and art helps children appreciate diversity and creativity.
