What We're Learning This Month

We'll start with the Letter D and a unit about doors. We'll open and shut doors of all kinds, and read fun lift-the-flap books to discover what is hiding behind the doors. Spring Assessments will also go home that week. Next is Review Week, plus a unit on friendship. Our Valentine's parties are Feb. 13th and 14th, and we'll talk about being a good friend. You can also schedule a conference for that week to discuss your child's progress. Next is the letter I and our in/out unit. We'll climb in and out of boxes, stuff scarves in and pull them out of shoe boxes, and sing fun songs about "in/out." Feb. 25th there will be a Disco Dance you won't want to miss. Our final week will be the letter W and a unit on wings. We'll be talking about all types of winged creatures, and we'll explore birds, insects and airplanes!
