Maize, the Corn Snake!
The Boisterous Bananas are fascinated with their class pet, Maize, an eight-year-old corn snake (eith the Blizzard or Snow White species). She is just over four feet long. Snakes smell things by picking up small chemical particles with their tongue, and when their tongue goes back into their mouth, messages from the vomeronasal system tell the snake's brain what the particles are.
